Some people do place card holders as their favor. It's all about what you can afford. Maybe some candy type thing at the place setting too. I like the holder, very original.

I was thinking of doing something very similar. I am thinking about using these placecard holders which then could become picture frames for everyone. I just can't decide which one to use

I had thought about doing that, but then I sort of realized..if I were a guest, what would I do with a placecard holder? I mean you only get one, two tops so its not like you will have a set for dinner parties or anything. I personally would worry that it would fall under that category of useless favors.. JMHO

that being said, the holder is really cute!

I don't think it is to cheap. My FSIL suggested that FH & I do something like that too, this way our guests will have a frame after the wedding for our thank you picture. If we end up doing something like that we are also putting candy at each place setting for our guests.

To be honest, I would wonder what I was supposed to do with one--or two, with my FH--place card holders. I'm sure a lot of guests wouldn't realize that it was the favor, either. I like the picture frame idea better. At least your guests can always use a picture frame.

But, if you really like the palm trees and want them on your table, then do it. Some people will take them home, others wont. Put out some candy favors as well, as they can be quite inexpensive but very pretty when made with tulle and ribbons.

Well people can always hold a picture in the place ofthe place card. I have a few pic holders like that, that just hold the picture upright on the clip. So if there are your favors maybe they could even put a pic of your wedding in the heart clip of the palm tree afterwards.

You can totally double a placecard holder as a favor but maybe something different. I agree, I don't think people will know what to do with that after the wedding. Maybe a picture frame or put edible's in a small bag with a tag on it for the table number. But dont feel like you have to give a favor at all.
