Is it to early to pick out and send out the save the date magnets? When is everyone ordering and sending out there save the dates? If you can help me out with this I would be grateful. Thank you.

The proper etiquette is 6-9 months before. My wedding is Feb. 09 so I am sending mine out August 2008.

I am probably sending mine about a year to 9 months before the wedding. Im leaning more towards a year because I am sooo anxious to send them!!

I def think it is wayy too early! A majority of the people will prob end up forgetting and/or misplacing them!! I think if its a holiday when people will prob be going on vacays, then send out at the 1 yr mark... If it's just a reg day, I honestly dont see much point in sending them out period... But if someone decides to do it, 6-9 months in advance should be plentty of time

Our wedding is the day after new years day in 2009. It is Jan 2 2009. So you think we should wait? My Mom was thinking we are having out engagement party in July so send them out like a few weeks after that. My FH said it may be to early I am not sure. We are both very excited about our wedding we already book everything but the florist and our wedding is in 09 .

I would suggest the one year mark. Although it is a holiday weekend I don't know of many people that make plans for new year's more than a few months in advance.
Mine is July 4 weekend so I'm sending them out 1 year in advance.

We are sending out our STD's a year before - May of '08.... You could always pick them out now! but I would wait a little longer to actually put them into print & send them out!
