Is it to early to book a make-up artist for a 2011 wedding?
I'm getting married in October and was thinking about booking a make-up artist this January. You think it's too early?

I am wondering the same thing!! I would like to look into make-up artists but I don't know if it's too early. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help.

I'm worried that if I book too early, they will forget to show up the day of the wedding. lol. Now, that would s*ck!

I wouldn't worry about that love. You can always call two months before your wedding and make sure they still have all the information. Make sure you save all deposit receipts just in case.

If you do book it just ask to have an apt to set up a trial make up about 2 months before the wedding.

I actually just booked mine today and I'm getting married at the end of 2010. I wanted to make sure I got the person I wanted since they do book up quickly.

I'm going to book. I seen so many raves about Oksana on this board and seen many pictures. It looks like she does an AMAZING JOB. My FI's niece is being baptized in Jan. so I figured I could get my make-up done and get a sense of her style.

I tried to book my make up artist a few months ago and the few artist that i spoke to wouldnt book for my date. They told me the date was to far off. These are well known artist with full businesses. I plan on booking next year

I booked for my february 2011 wedding and I got the 2009 prices, which was good. I received and contract and everything so I don't think that its too early to book :) Go for it!

I booked Christy from Christy Ann Cosmetics after she did m trial for my E-Pics in September on the spot! If its a legitimate company I don't see why not!

WOW! Gina, she did a great job. You look so pretty. Did you go to multiple make-up artists before picking Christy? This may be a dum question, but what is airbrush make-up? How do they airbrush a face? lol

haha aww thanks she is awesome..honestly I was just going to do my own because I am such a perfectionist when it comes to my makeup. I have or had never let anyone else do it before Christy. But when I saw the pics from a gf of mine's wedding on facebook I was like WHO DID YOUR MAKEUP??? I WANT HER!! I love it because I wanted airbrush so my face stays on incase I'm sweating & also my eye makeup because I am a cryer..haha so she used a gel eyeliner. The airbrush is like a regular looking foundation bottle that is screwed on to this wand & it sprays on ..& doesn't come off! LOVE IT! (don't feel bad I didn't knwo what it was before I got it done either
