is it too early?

is it too early?

My wedding is on 3/27/09. Is it too early to start buying cake topper, aisle runner, favors, gift box and etc. The wedding is in 8 months so I don't want things to just sit in boxes and possibly get ruined but I'm afraid if I wait until the last minute to buy these things it'll feel like I'm spending way too much $$$.

What are most of you doing? Buying things early or waiting?

I don't think it's too early, I started buying those things earlier this month..as long as you have somewhere to store them safely, I don't see why not

Definitely not!! You should begin now and just get some things out of the way.

No I dont think its too early. THis way if you buy little by little its not as expensive as buying everything all at once towards the end.

i am getting married in like 4 1/2 months - and i still havent done all that stuff - if i would have bought all of those items a few months ago, i would have ended up returning them b/c i have changed my mind so many times about what i want - and at this point i find that a lot of the things i thought i wanted are unecessary and a waste of money - if you know for sure that these are things that you really want and you absolutley wont change your mind (b/c sometimes you find something nicer than what you already purchased) then i would buy it now - but for me, i couldnt buy things so far in advance so only you know if you its too early KWIM?

Absolutely not! My wedding is in July and I am buying things already! I am DIY for most so I need to start early, but they wont get ruined. Happy shopping!

I took everyone's advice and ordered favors. YAH!! One thing down, many more to go. Thank you! Everyone here always make me feel better. I love telling my FH and family that all the other brides are ordering stuff early so I should be too. LOL!!
