well i think it kinda depends. some people register if they are having an engagement party.
i thought of registering but i know i'll end up changing my mind on things and new stuff will come out and things will get discontinued also.
on a positive note...if you register now it also gives people something to get you for xmas.
there are a few girls on here who have already registered though

I don't think it is. Some of my relatives wanna buy me engagement gifts off our registry. We registered but we are taking our time adding stuff to it and picking things out.

I dont think so - I did so I can get xmas and bday gifts and people have already bought stuff.
Me and FH need everything so we wanted to get a head start.
If you change your mind on things you can always change it!!

It might be a bit early because alot of items get discontinued and when it comes time for your engagement party or shower you will have to go and start adding new stuff to your registry.

i say do it...just make sure you go on every so often and remove discontinued items. I registered 2 months ago for my Feb 2010 weddin and have had to already remove 3 items...but its fun for me to play with every now and then!

I think you should wait till it gets a little closer just because the stores discontinue things all the time.

ITA! Coming from another 09er... Imagine if you did your whole registry early and the store goes out of biz... like linens and things... Thats ALOT of wasted time

we register at one store only so far. I have recieved almost all my kitchen appliances, if you are having an e-party then I think it is a wish idea to register for some stuff so that way you don't have to worry about returning anything after
