I feel like 2012 is so far away....has anyone booked any vendors yet? I figured I could get a jump start on a photographer but what else!?

Re: Is it too early to start booking vendors?!?
Hi
I already booked all of my vendors and at the 2010 rate!!
its never to early to book because some vendors are probably already booked, especially the popular ones. It wouldn't hurt to start early..

Re: Is it too early to start booking vendors?!?
We are trying to avoid credit cards as much as possible....yet we had a discussion lastnight as to how we are going to pay all our vendors & still have the money for the 'cash' balance thats due the month of the wedding for the reception hall!! Sooooo i figured we'd start looking for those 0% apr rate credit cards lol

Re: Is it too early to start booking vendors?!?
it's never too early.
my original wedding date was 11-11-2012 and I had everything booked already.
you get to lock in the prices for 2010 so it's cheaper.
FH & I also used the money we made at our engagement party to put down as our down payments when we booked our vendors.

Re: Is it too early to start booking vendors?!?
I came on here with this same exact post when I got engaged!!
People are going to tell you it's way too early, and when you talk to some vendors even they are going to say 'Don't worry you have plenty of time', we even had people look at us like we are crazy when we said we were going to book vendors.
The truth is, it's never too early! We haven't booked anything (besides date and hall), but that's mostly because we are planning our engagement party first! After the party we are going to start booking. It's true that you can lock in prices and it's good to get a head start. Don't feel pressured to book though, because you do have some time, so have fun with it and if you find something that you love, don't NOT book because you think you have too much time!
Good luck, congrats and welcome!

Re: Is it too early to start booking vendors?!?
Like everyone else said, this is a really good time to lock in the vendors, especially photo/video/music. These can be the most difficult if you're going with really popular vendors. Plus, you want your date to be available. Thank goodness I originally planned a 2010 wedding b/c I already have some of my vendors booked. Once you get them all lined up, you can budget your payments.

Re: Is it too early to start booking vendors?!?
Every vendor I've called keeps saying its not too early. I may be because they want my money... but I guess the earlier you book the more likely you are to get exactly what you want! I book my RH, my photographer, and I'm going to work on a florist and a string quartet over the next too weeks. Also I'm going to do my engagement shoot with my photographer this summer.

**crashing**
I booked all my vendors before the year mark so its never too early to start booking your major vendors. Now its 8 months to go and all i have to do is worry about our final payments,
Good luck!
