is it too late for STD's with poll

I wasnt able to get STD's yet (we thought we had someone to do them but it turns out we dont) but now its only a little over 8 months till the wedding... is it too late to do them? I dont even know where you should mail out invitations!!!

I don't think so at all..most people send them out about 8 months to one year!

I'm mailing mine in a few weeks so its 10 months. I think 8 is fine

No! I had mines for about a month and have not sent them yet. But I'm going to send them tomorrow.
I know this girl that sent her's six months before the wedding. You have time.

Nope I dont think it's late at all. FH's friend is getting married on September 22nd, 2007.

We got there STD in the first week of June. I think it's just a way to let people know to save that date on your calender.

No! I had mines for about a month and have not sent them yet. But I'm going to send them tomorrow.

i think if it is something you really want to do. like if you had epics taken or really have something nice in mind then do it - you have time i think at least 6 months before is good... just enough for people know when it is and reserve hotel if needed. if you dont really care either way then dont do it. a lot of people dont send them out.

Hey date twin. I haven't even sent mine out yet. They have been sitting here for like 2 months now. I finally got them all together in their envelopes with hotel information last weekend. The addresses are on and the envelopes are sealed. I just need to wait til next week to get stamps because I can't afford all of them right now...lol There is too much on my credit card right now I wouldn't be able to pay it off so I am waiting til next week to get stamps and send them out. You have plenty of time still. Go for it.

Yeah I heard that they should go out at 6 months. I was just reading through an old wedding magazine the other day.

I sent mine at about 11 months.

There are 'set rules', but it's entirely how you want to do it. Honestly - I was soooo excited about getting engaged in December, that we sent out our STD in March of the following year!!

Invites - the rule is 3 months prior...for our January wedding - we're going with last week in September and RSVP date of December 7th - to allow for our RSVP cards NOT to get lost in the holiday card mess of the Post Office.
