Hey girls- is it too soon to buy my dress?? My friends who hav eno idea about wedding planning are telling me its too soon-- I'm going to change my mind I should keep looking- or not look at all until later this year-- what do you think? Our date is 11/7/08-- what do you think?? Thank you!!

I would wait...my friend ordered her dress back in June for a wedding in Jan 2008...she has had her dress since Jan 2007...then she got mad b/c she had no where to store it for a year and the shop wouldnt hold it for her...so I would def wait till it got closer.. what if you gain or lose weight?
I know that I'll be a different weight- but for me- no matter when I order it that will be the case!! Unless I could order it the month before the wedding I'd have no control! The best I can do is have it altered!!!! (making sure to chose a shop that has a CAP on alterations!!!lol)

thats how i feel! i found this dress im in love with (its in my album btw...) but i feel like if i buy it too soon i may find something I like better, but if i don;'t get it, it will be discontinued, and i won't find anything and i will be upset..i don't know what to do sometimes!

If there is a dress that might be disc...go see it. My maggie dress was up for over a year and ive seen too many dresses come and go for it to get away! I went and tried it on and it was def the dress!!!
Id go just for that dress...if its not the one...wait for the new fall lines to come out....
But,...
if you wanna go now go now!!! Thats what capped alterations are for!!!!!!!!!!

i went found my dress and bought the sample cuz it was cheaper! so i say its up to you !

I worried about mine getting discontinued so I bought it, it needed some custom changes and my salon will hold it so I wasjust like, I'm gonna do it. Its def. a personal opinion

if its a designer gown that has to be ordered, inquire about how long its going to take! And allow 3 weeks for extra time anyway...and then fittings, etc....all that time adds up!
