Is it too soon to look for a dress... my WD is 06-07-08 and i want to lose a lil weight like 15lbs....
i Dont want to deal w/ major alterations

Its not too soon. They can take a dress in up to 4 sizes so you should be fine.

I don't think it could ever be too soon.
I haven't ordered mine yet but will be doing it in the next few weeks. I'd like to lose weight before the wedding as well, but I'm not gonna order a size smaller, just in case.....unfortunately you never know what is going to happen :(

Def not too soon. My wedding is July12, 2008 and I already went gown shopping and am sure I found the one...I will order it at the beginning of July so that they have one year to get it ready.

Yes and no.... You have a whole year and especailly if you want to loose weight. TRUST ME!!! Do that first when you loose some weight or I should say drop a size then look....alterations are EXPENSIVE!!!!

start looking asap. you don't have to BUY one now, but it's definately good to start looking early.
i have been told you can lose about 20 lbs without a problem as long as you lose it in the right places.
if you order a gown make sure you order one that will fit in case you don't lose the weight.
my cousin lost 20 lbs and ordered a dress that would fit her 'new weight' except her measurements didnt change at all. her bust was the same size! so they had to rush order a differant size.

hey Date Twin, I ordered my dress a few weeks ago & Crystan08 (another date twin) ordered hers a while ago, so nope it's not too early
