Is it true...

that you can lose like 2-3 lbs the week leading up to your wedding? Why?
Becasue I have been waking you so nervous-like and nauseus (sp?) that i can sorta see how this is possible bc i feel sick and DO NOT wanna eat.

Anyone els eexperience this?

YES! Be sure to EAT a lot this week. I also noticed you already had your final fitting... so don't lose any weight! My seamstress warned me (I had my fitting 7 days before my wedding day) to eat ice cream every night before bed and I didn't listen. I probably lost about 3-4 lbs in those 7 days (not trying) and my dress wasn't as snug as it was at the fitting. It still fit great, but I noticed when I put it on that morning that it wasn't AS tight in the bust.

Esp. after a whole afternoon of taking pics at several locations, by the reception my dress was very loose and b/c of that it made it too long. During the reception I had to keep hiking it up. It wasn't that bad b/c it was my wedding day and I didn't let anything bother me, but looking back I wish I had listened to my seamstress.

my friend lost 4lbs the week of her wedding (she just got married 6/24/06). mostly she credits the stress and 'bride brain' -- she forgot to eat. i'm hoping for the same thing!

OMG yes! I didn't even realize I lost weight last week. Usually if I ate what I did last week I definitely would have gained at least a pound...but I actually lost weight. Nervous energy I guess. This week I ate better foods but also tried to eat more often so I stayed the same weight. I weighed myself like everynoght to see if I was the same so my dress would fit the same as it did at my last fitting.

very possible....women fluctuate a lot anyway...and if you are a fluctuator, you likely will. i've dropped a few pounds in the past week...not at all on purpose...i've been trying to eat healthier so my face stays clear for the big day...which has meant a little less by accident.

Wow I did not know that. Thanks for letting me know. I am still awhile away from the big day, but now I know I should definitely try everything I can do to maintain my weight so that the dress fits perfectly the day of.

I didn't weigh myself the week before the wedding because I was staying at my ILs house and didn't bother to use their scale. But I MUST have lost some weight because I came back from my HM in Italy the same normal weight that I always am. I ate so much pasta, gelatto every day, dessert, there is NO way that I didn't gain weight. The only explanation is that I gained some weight but didn't notice since I lost some weight before the wedding.

My already extremely thin friend didn't stop to eat those few days leading up to her wedding. The day of, her dress was pretty much falling off. Now everytime she looks at her pics or her video she gets upset. Pretty much all of her pics have some bra showing and in her video she's hiking up her dress every 2 minutes. We even tried to rig the dress with safety pins but it didn't work.
