do some phtographers only let you book if you buy pics and a video? I was reading a couple of old posts that gave me this impression. The FH and I aren't interested in a video! If anyone knows of these vendors please let us know?

We don't have video, nor do I think our photographers do video. They didn't say anything about it. Our DJ did, though. Go figure.

I have two separate people, each is the owner of their own company. The photographer recommended a videographer, but we went with someone else.

no way! most photogs have packages that include albums and loose photos, you shouldn't also have to get a video. if they try to tell you that you HAVE to get a video and you really don't want a videographer in everyone's face that day - run in the other direction!!!

We used 12th Night just for photo. They have suggested vendors if you do want Video, but they only do Photo.

I didn't want and am not getting video either. We are using Perceptions for our photography. I highly recommend them!

Re: is it true?
I heard some do this, but most do not. FH and i wern't going to have video either and our photogrpher (Andreas Renstch) only offers photo. We luckily won free video at a wedding event. Im sure you will find a fabulous photogrpaher that will let you only book photo. I think it is more companies rather than independant photogrpahers that have you book both.

Re: is it true?
I've heard that about some of the places we looked at but it wasn't true. One in particular didn't mention anything to us about a video and several girls complained that you had to hire her viddeographer. You really should ask the photographer directly. It should be an option but never forced.
We're not doing a video either partly to save money and partly because I don't think its necessary.

Most places I think would like you to book their photo and video together, but if you don't they should understand.
