Is it weird

That its a week before my shower and almost nothing has been bought off my registry?!

I know people procrastinate but almost 50 ladies are invited and only about 10 gifts have been bought.

Whatever I just want mimosas

I mean, that is a little odd... but maybe they didn't buy the items directly through your registry? (which kinda takes away the point of the registry so that you don't get doubles of things.)
And like you said, people procrastinate. I'm not gonna lie, I've definitely bought shower gifts the day/night before haha

2014 crasher... They might not have bought it off your registry... or they may be doing a gift card.


I typically wait until the last moment possible to go because I try to really listen to what the bride is saying she REALLY wants off the registry that hasn't been bought yet... or I'll flat out ask her 'Give me 3-5 things off your registry that hasn't been bought yet that you want' (that IF she knows about the shower and if she's snooping on her registry!)

I'm sure people didn't have your registry scanned. I know a lot of older people don't know they need to do that.

I've noticed this a lot when I go to people's showers - total last minute shopping, especially when your people are local and aren't ordering online. If they don't have to ship it to your house (ie, wedding gift) then they go last minute. Don't sweat it yet!

Edited to add that i freaking love mimosas.

I'm not even going to LOOK at mine because I'm nervous hahah.
People definitely procrastinate too which is not good because I find that lately everything I look for even at BB&B is not available in the store!

PS I'm glad you know when your shower is too, people treat me weird because it's not a surprise for me haha! Hey I bought a dress I want to make sure I'm wearing it!
Also, I just want mimosas too

Dont stress I added something the Friday before my shower and got it at my shower. I think probably half the people at my shower went the Saturday before.

sometimes the store messes up and forgets to scan your registry list. which means doubles :(

I got almost all gift cards and it was the best!! Picked out the stuff I really wanted and didn't have to schlep the presents back home in the car. Mind you my mom did add 'gift cards welcome' on the registry info since I was traveling up from VA for the shower but I'm sure even without that some last minute people will do gift cards for sure.

I wouldn't be too worried. One of my friends got married this past summer, and most of our friends got her shower gifts literally on the way to the shower.
