Is it weird to walk yourself down?

I know that sounds really strange, but my parents are divorced and I'm having a VERY difficult time with both sides when it comes to who is walking me down or not. EVERYONE is being a big baby and can't walk if this one does or doesn't, etc....this is the ONLY thing that has been stressful for me to the point that I Just want to cry. What have you seen done or what would you do????

Honestly whatever makes you most comfortable. My friend did half with one set of parents and the other half with the other set of parents or how about 1/2 with your mom and 1/2 with your dad

Believe it or not, it would turn into a fight about who will walk me the second half of the way to the altar!

Kristina, my old boss walked down herself....and then her DH met her halfway down the aisle and walked with her up to the altar...i thought it was beautiful

Yeh....my parents would both be pissed if I did that...there just isn't a happy middle to meet at.

It really ***** that your family can't put their feelings aside for your sake.
My Mom and Dad are divorced, Dad is remarried, mom is not. Dad still loves my Mom, My Mom, not so much feeling the love for my Dad, total dislike is more accurate so Mom is walking me half way and then meeting my Dad (but Mom is continuing with us to the front).

I say do whatever makes you happy and dosn't stress you out. It seems like both sides will be un-happy regardless of your choice, so just go wtith what makes YOU feel comfortable....it's YOUR day.

I'm walking 1/2 and FH is walking with me the rest.

I think this is an Excellent Idea!!! And if you would rather walk yourself - Why not??? I say do it - It will be sort of Dramatic and a Romantic way!!! Love the Idea Actually!!!
