My Photog wants to charge me $50 to get a digitial copy of our Engagement pictures. Do you think its worth it.. Will I want these in the future?
Sincerely, Ms. Never can make up my mind.

haha.. i made sure i got a CD with my pics on it. you never know and i'd like to have backups in case the printed ones get ruined. i think $50 is a lot for a disc of pictures though.

It would be nice just to have. Rather spend the $50 now then wish you had later.

I personally would want them...to me it's like what's the point of an album if you can't have the images to do what you please with them?
But that being said I wouldn't pay it, I'm cheap. Are e-pics included in your package? It seems odd to include epics, but then not include the files.

Don't feel bad, my photographer wanted $50 for ONE pic on a disc!
And we paid it too since we needed it for our STD.

Are you able to copy and/or edit the pics that are on the CD?

I would do it. You may want them in the future and not be able to get them.

Yeah I want it so I can make table numbers with a nice digitial copy instead of scanning in my proofs.

I get as many digital copies as I want included in the cost. What does it cost your photographer to make the cd? $.25? $.50? Give me a break!

Re: Is it worth it?
We got the pics on the disk INSTEAD of the prints. Then we made up our own album on shutterfly. It came out AWESOME! My friend is even going to make one for herself out of her wedding pictures even though she already has a professional album.

Seriously I know and I am pissed about it. I really hope paying the $50 gives me the right to the photos to copy and edit them as i please, cause I know that was the main issue. He wants me to order any and all photos through him and I want the digital copies so I can make my DIY table numbers.

I would get it even though I think $50 is waaayy too much for a disk of pictures. I know I would want it later.

That's what we're doing too! I only got the digital files with my package. I think there are a couple of extra prints etc included in my deal but I really just wanted files so i could do with them what I please. I'm a graphic designer so doing it all myself was the most important thing I wanted out of my photography. Heck, I'd even take my own photos if I could!!!

i think it's worth it. Some photographers charge 20$ per picture. Now that's a rip off.

50 dollars is fairly cheap. I would go for it. I made sure we got a disk with all of our proofs for our wedding. I want to be able to do what I want with my photos, send them to who I want. Scanning is a pain in the a*s.
