20 people sounds fine whatever makes you happy bigger groups sometimes can be overwhelming you have so many guest yelling ' i cant hear, I cant see what she is opening' etc.. ....
with 20 people it can be more intimate

is it wrong to ask them to not throw one? The more I think about it the more I am so over it already and that sounds horrible but everytime I think about it I think of all the issues already surronding it and just wish the word shower had never even come up .........

I had a small shower (18 guests) and I loved it! It was a beautiful brunch in a really nice restaurant and I still got tons of stuff. Very large showers are fun, but ti wasn't really my style! Go for what you want!
