that I want a small shower? I have heard and read of showers of like 50 plus people...I want no more then 20 ....

Its not wrong...it's your shower you should do what you want? if you want a small intimage gathering with just your closest then i say go for it!

not at all- you should have exactly what you want- i am probably having a smaller shower too. i know its custom to invite every female that is invited to the wedding- but my bridesmaids are paying & i dont want them to have to pay a lot... so i think you are fine

No not at all...Its your shower so do what makes you happy...I am not inviting everyone invited to the wedding but fh's family is HUGE so we have no choice but to have a little bit of a bigger shower and we're not even inviting every family member

It's fine to have a small shower. When you give your list to your maid of honor/bridal party...just make sure to put the people you want to attend.

I wanted a big huge shower then there was some issues that Im not going to go into and It got out of hand with the family and I was in the wrong so most of them arent speaking to me and prob wont go to my shower or the wedding and it killed the wanting the big shower etc...honestly at this point if I could cancel the big wedding Iwould but I cant so Im trying to do the small intimate thing with my good friends and a few female family memebrs and just keep it at that without offending anyone more then I already have

i don't think it's wrong at all. it's your shower, do it how you want.
after talking to my mom about the list we just couldn't figure out how to make it smaller b/c our family is very ... i don't know how to word it, but i can't invite my cousin Michelle who i'm close with but not invite my cousin Suzanne even though I never see her... so the list got out of control.

oh Im sure everyone knows how I feel about this
Its not that I dont want a big one per say just the stress and BS that has went along with it has kinf of ruined the fun for me ...if that makes any sense at all

i'm so sorry Kelly! I know what you mean - i had a spectacular time at my parties but i know all about all the grief that went into planning them - so i'm kinda really glad it's all over!
