is my FH weird?

So my FH has been involved in wedding planning (not overly involved, but just right).

So, I mention to him this wknd that we should register soon. And he was like 'oh, cant you do that?'

i was surprised, cuz i thought this was the one thing that the men enjoyed about wedding planning!! The SCANNER!!

i told him about the scanner, but he was still ambivilent.

anyone else have an FH that could care less about registering?

mine could pretty much care less about anything... except to make sure there is enough booze at the rh...

My DH didn't care one little bit about registering. He's not a shopper at all. When he shops, it's because something on his car needs replacing... like a belt or something. He doesn't really do home goods.

So I registered alone. It was still fun, and he loves the things I picked that our friends got us.

He registered with me but could care less about what was bought off of it. He has like 3 things that he wants and everything else he doesn't care about, lol!

As for registering....FH was ok when we registered at BBB. But he wanted to strangle me when we registered at Fortunoff b/c it took me over 4 hours!!!!! And then he really wanted to kill me when Fortunoff went out of business and I changed it to Macys. When I went to Macys he told me to take my mother because he wasn't coming with me

take him for the 1st time.. limit it to 45m in TOPS! get the important shyt out of the way. then go ALONE and take ur sweeeeeeeeeeeeet time and get everythign else. my fh hates the whole wedding planning, but enjoyed picking up EVERY SINGLE piece of silverware to check the weight. he had to make sure the ones we registered for werent too heavy to eat with.

DH enjoyed it at the first place. But he definitely wasn't as interested the second time around - I guess that was not out of the blue since I was NOT having fun myself. I wouldn't say that he ever WANTED to go, but I don't drive so he had to! hehe

Edited to add: DH knew that he would not be allowed to be in charge of the scanner...no way! He could point things out that he wanted but I was the shooter!

Mine FH could careless about the planning he said 'I do it best' he wants me to give him the time & place to be on our wedding day lol which I don't mind because I get to plan my dream wedding my way He went with me to register at bb&b only (he was done after that)

FH wasn't even in the same state when I registered (he was still living in Ohio at the time). I went with my mom and FH looked it over online after I was all done...for like 2 minutes. I kept trying to show him all the exciting things but I think he had mentally moved on hahaha

He's pretty involved in the wedding planning and its not a bad shopper so i was a little surprised...but honestly I liked it better this way because I got to pick whatever I wanted

FH has been somewhat involved. Then came time to register. It was totally his idea to take off on a Friday so we could go on a not busy day. But he woke up in a mood. The lady who registered us was really annoying, and she didn't let us hold the scanner! By the time I asked the lady if we could just walk around by ourselves for a bit I was wishing I just went by myself. BUT when we got home, he asked did you check it online? Did you add this, did you do that? It was just being there he had issues with. Next time I'm going with one of my girlfriends.

My FH is a pain!!! He has been pretty involved with the whole planning process (which I thought he wouldn't be) but when it comes to registering and I tell him we have to go to BBB he asks me if he can register for Rangers season tickets and a flat screen TV there!!!!

mine didnt even go with me haha..he has noooooooo clue about anything were getting..it was very funny watching him help open our e-party presents-he kept asking 'whats this? what's this for?'

Honestly, neither of us wanted us to register... We were both pretty 'whatever' about the whole thing and gave up after an hour. We finished it online a little bit at a time....

FH loved the scanner he did not like when it took me 30 mins to pick out a soap despencer though lol but we did it all together.

lmao my fh asked me if he can register for a flat screen at BBB too hahahaha. men are so funny.
but he did go with me to register and he did all the scanning. i think he had a good time lol

LOL... just because of this thread, I decided to ask him last night if he wanted to come with me to register... he said sure... I said im only asking, I dont care if you dont want to go, because If I were you I wouldnt want to go either...LOL... my mom will probably come with us just because... but i was shocked when he said yes... WHO KNEW! lol
