Is red too bold?

I went for my fitting w/ red nails (like, a soft red) and I thought it looked REALLY good w/ my gown! I also usually wear red on my nails or other deep colors.

Would it be wayyyy too bold to get that on my wedding day?!?! I want my wedding to be formal and I am wearing a big ivory ballgown. What do you girls think? Have I lost my mind w/ all the wedding things going on?

My theory is, it's your wedding day, do whatever the heck you want to do. People are giving me a hard time because I don't want to buy wedding shoes, I want to wear flip flops or sneakers, I don't even want to walk down the isle in something uncomfy. Do what you want to do! Red is hot.

If you normally wear bold colors than I think it's perfectly fine! Red is classic as well!!

Thanks everyone- but I'm just not sure if it will stand out too much in pictures and look more 'funky' than bridal.....


This is my one shot at getting it right I am afraid of looking back at my album in 20 years and say.. 'What was I thinking???!!!'

but I DO like red... so u all think I should go for it?

I think red is fine!! You should wear what you like and are comfortable in!!

you always read or hear things you shouldnt do as a bride BUT if you want to show off some of your personality i say go for it - there is no reason you have to be a cookie cutter bride!

go for it!!! if you love it, do it!! i did a plum color on my nails, and loved it. in 20 years, you may look at your album and think, damm, why didn't i do red nails, my nails look just like every other bride's! i usually wear deep colors on my nails, and never considered anything light for my wedding.

I think you should. What color are your flowers? I'd just make sure the red doesn't clahs but otherwise do it! I wanted it for our wedding but listened to my mom and didn't and Im disappointed. I did it for our day after shoot though and it looked great.

I did wear red shoes both days!
