Is the Bridal Party sitting with you an DH........

Or is that played out now-a-days!

At the reception.....

I had one table for the groomsmen and their dates and one table of bridesmaids with their dates. They were poised on either side of our dias.

This would not have worked for me since we had three couples in the BP. We sat our BP with the rest of our guests, accordingly.

yeah, I have 3 couples in mine too.. Plus I have 23 total in my bridal party! yikes!!!!!!!! I think I might have them scattered...

Since it's only FH and I and the MOH and BM, their date and wife will also be with us.... MOH is my sis and BM is FH's brother

since we have 6 bms and 6 gms we couldnt even fit them all (plus dates) at 2 seperate tables so they are scattered with their friends and family. It worked out though that 5 of the 6 groomsmen are at 1 table but the bridesmaids were split into 2 per table

We will have them scattered-- some will sit with us, others will be at tables with other people that they are friends with..

If your bridal isn't close, then I would scatter them.

I had my 4 girl cousins so it worked out. My brother, who was a groomsman sat with them and I moved my SIL over to the groomsmen table with the Best Man (grooms brother). My DH's groomsmen were all good friends.
It just worked for us. We would have sat them together even if they weren't in the bridal party

But if you have a large bridal party and the people are from different groups (your & his friends, your & his family) I would definitely scatter and sit them with people they are going to have a good time with.

Once pictures are finsihed and the first dance is over, the bridal party doesn;t have any more 'duties' and doesn't need to be next to the bride & groom (IMO at least)

ETA: MY 2 flowergirls sat with their parents not with the bridal party. I wasn't having anyone 'babysit' the kids under 10 years old!

We have a lot of younger people in our bridal party (siblings/cousins) so we are just going to have them sit with their family. Those that are older in the bridal party will sit with everyone else.

I had a bridal party table, although my FG and RB sat at a different table with their parents to keep things 'even'

The bridal party is going to have there own table and with there guest will be with them at that table. And the fg and rb are going to be with there parents

Mine will also be scattered, sitting with their respective others and friends. I would hate to keep them away from their dates...plus fi and I want to sit completely alone!

No they are not sitting with us, we want to be alone. Seriously, all of our BP people have their own people who are not in the BP so we want them to sit with their significant others and friends and family.

Yea, I figure its the only time FH will have time alone and thats even debateable (is the right sp?) Anyway, for me, I've felt more comfortable sitting with my friends in the past than with some strangers because you just can't throw down a drink with strangers like you can with your buds!
