Re: Is the chocolate fountain worth it????

Im wondering the same thing. Its definitely something guests walk away remembering. Are you doing a vienesse hr also? Right now we asked that cookies and pastries be put on every table. I am debating on the chocolate fountain.

We are having a vienesse hour and it is very elaborate. I just wanted that wow factor and I feel like the chocolate fountain will do that.... But our budgets might not allow for it so I am trying to figure out if it is really worth it.

Re: Is the chocolate fountain worth it????

I just had it at my wedding and in my opinion it was completely worth it... everyone was talking about it, most had never seen or heard of it and it was delicious...

How much is it???
My only feeling against it, besides my budget, was that people would not be hungry enough to really enjoy it at the end of the night.
Do you think it would be weird to have it at the cocktail hour????

Re: Is the chocolate fountain worth it????

I thought about it but right now decided against it. We are having a smaller wedding. Cake and sorbet are included and I think if we did the fountain even more food would go to waste... or should I say waist

From what I have been told it is $600. If you have the RH set up the dipping supplies, fruit etc... it is 2.50/pp. If you are having a big wedding then it might not work out to save you any money. You can get them at Audreys Bakery.

IMO, I would definitely find it strange at the cocktail hour, but it's your wedding so you can have it whenever you want...
There was so much food at our wedding ( we did the rolling cocktail hour) and even still people were going crazy at the chocolate fountain... you don't have to be hungry to enjoy it.

Re: Is the chocolate fountain worth it????

Yes yes yes, 100x YES! That is all anyone is still talking about from my wedding over 3 months ago. Few people had seen it before and just loved it so much. In fact, I think it got more attention than I did, so maybe you DON'T want to get it!
