Is the dyson vacuum all it's cracked up to be?

Does anyone have one? Some people say it is the most amazing thing - others say it is overrated and overpriced.

What do you think before I register for it?

I have a Bissell bagless and LOVE it! My mother and I are big on cleaning floors too. She got an Oreck just for the warranty b/c she uses hers so much that she brings it in for service regularly!

Thanks for all your responses ladies - I'm thinking it may not be worth it with so many other great vacuums out there for much less...
