So we're in the process of figuring out where to go on our honeymoon. We don't want to spend alot of money, and want to stay in the US. We unfortunately are both complete mall rats. I'm pushing for Disney world, and he keeps bringing up the mall of america. How can I tell people that we are going to the mall of america on our hoineymoon!?? He's driving me nuts.

Its nothing special - We have the same stores on LI. The only thinbk I thought was neat was the aquarium. Go to Disney they have tons of shopping and a much better aquarium.

Please don't go there for your honeymoon! My father lives near there in Minnesota, so I've been there a couple of thimes. It's really nothing more than I gigantic mall. Basically, the only people who do go there are families from all over the midwest with nothing better to do. Go to Disney instead!!

Sweetie please don't go there. Coming from someone that works in the shopping industry and sees malls all the time, its really not the greatest. The only thing that sticks out is that ferris wheel. Go to Disney World instead. Its romantic, fun, great food, places and of course shopping!

My family is from Minnesota and I go there at least once a year to visit....there is nothing all that great about it.....
Yeah it's big, yeah it has a lot of stores....yes, it even has a rollercoaster in it.....but it's still just a mall! We are talking about your HONEYMOON!!!!!!
PLLEEEEZZZEEEEE don't go there.....

I've been to the mall of america...and I would say no to a honeymoon trip...I mean, St. Paul and Minneapolis are fun...but even though it is huge...it gets tiring after a while. You can get bored there

I will be really honest! You need to go on a HM that makes you happy and fulfills your dreams. I think we have plenty of malls right here so I would never go to a mall for a HM. Heck, go spend the day at Roosevelt Field or Tanger. The Mall of America is in MN. If you want to tour the midwest and make a one day stop that might be a nice HM. But again, just because I wouldn't go to a mall for my HM doesn't mean you shouldn't.

I think you can only shop for so long on your honeymoon - you need to be doing things, not just buying things.

I used to live in the Twin Cities and only used to shop there when I couldn't find something at the hundred or so other malls in the area. It is nice to see once, but I don't think I could make a honeymoon week out of it. If you are touring the midwest, it would be a nice stop, but it's still a 5-6 hour drive from Chicago, the next closest big city.
Would you be interested in Disneyland in CA and touring some of the areas out there by car? There is plenty to see and do in LA or you could drive up to San Fran, down to San Diego or even a short trip over to Vegas from there? Just another thought if you still want to do Disney, but not into FL.

Yes...very bad,IMO. Daily life takes you to the mall for everyday things...you need something that will wow you and forever be in your memory as an amazing honeymoon.
