So we're in the process of figuring out where to go on our honeymoon. We don't want to spend alot of money, and want to stay in the US. We unfortunately are both complete mall rats. I'm pushing for Disney world, and he keeps bringing up the mall of america. How can I tell people that we are going to the mall of america on our hoineymoon!?? He's driving me nuts.

Mall of America is a huge mall in Minnesota. It has all these bars, an amusement park, a wedding chappel.
I live in the mid-west & we were actually going to drive to teh Mall of America ovr the 4th -- I figurd we'd never make the trip once we move back East after the wedding. Anyway, maybe you could combine it with a week at a cabin on a lake or something...its pretty out there.

Hmm - I never thought of a mall for a honeymoon. I don't think you are going to really enjoy the Gap so much. How many times can you walk around the mall? I think I'd prefer shopping in Manhattan.
Disney is awesome! It isn't a restful vacation but it's fun. If you aren't so into rides - you can take classes at the Disney Institute. Cirque de Soleil is also there (tough to get tickets so call early) and the show there is supposed to be one of their best. The Safari is also very good (and I have been on many, many safaris in Africa and I still think the Disney one is pretty good) Just my thoughts. GO DISNEY!!!!
what about staying on one of the famous Minnesota lakes - luxury hotel...or rent a cabin, etc...and then making a day trip to the mall?

Want to save money, try Atlantic City or one of the beaches in Delaware. Maybe Cape Cod, Rhode Island or Boston (someplace you can drive). Try some of the outdoor shopping in New Orleans, Miami, Boston, Newport, or even good old NYC (there are bed and breakfasts in Brooklyn that won't break the bank ). Just my opinion, but you will spend a fortune and waste your honeymoon if you spend your time in a giant mall all the way in MN.

I think Disney would be a lot more fun than hanging out at the mall. Disney is always a great place for nice pics!

Snowboardgirl, I'm not really considering it, and my FI knows that I won't really go, he's just teasing me with it. The issue with us is that we really want something the fits in our budget & that is in the US and fun. We are not beach people (we're both pretty fair-skinned and get sunburned very easily). We also get bored pretty easily, so I'm just trying to think of a good place for us, and I happen to love Disney and he's been there only once so I'm think that would be the place for us to go.
