Is the song 'danceable'?

We have been together 8 years and we have LOTS of songs. But the first song I can remember calling 'our song' was In your Eyes by Peter Gabriel. He called it our song during my prom...long ago! LOL
We still love this song, and I was wondering if this song would be good for a first dance? Can you dance to it? Do you think it is a good choice? I love the song, just dont know if it would work.

I think it has to be a song that means something to you-and it really does! I think you should go for it!
You guys could take a couple of dance lessons & learn to dance to it if you're concerned about that.

Ok now I am being a pain, but...our other song is 'Faithfully' by Journey. Is this better? I love both songs.

I'd like this to be our first dance as well and was concerned about it being too fast like you. I mentioned it to my fiance, and he loves that song. He told me that it's possible the DJ could slow it down just a little bit. That's one possibility. That might be 'our song' too.

I think there are slower versions of this song out there. Through the years it has been popular for weddings and proms. When I graduated high school this was our prom song and I remember that the dj had a nice slow version. Check morpheus or kazaa and I am sure you can find one.

Have you tried to dance to either song? I don't think In Your Eyes is easy to dance too but it depends on your skill level. We could never do it - but we suck :D

Christy...

I think 'In Your Eyes' is a great song! I saw a wedding video of a co-worker who had that song for their first dance...they kind of bopped around on the dance floor...it was adorable.
