During the DJ search, I learned there was no tax on DJs, which I don't quite understand. But I was wondering if there's tax on other vendors? I plan on starting to negotiate with the video folk soon, and I want to say I'll pay cash so that there's no tax, but I want to make sure they charge tax first before I say that and look naive.

Re: is there...
Just found out there is no tax on limos... even though most vendors state: 'Includes tax' when they give a quote.

That's correct. So yes, there is tax on photo and video b/c there is a final product. I'm paying my photo/video all in cash though, so my vendor isn't charging me tax

they started including tax on limos bc of a new law i believe
as far as video i believe there is because you're getting a product

right..... however there is no tax on large vehicles like a bus or any of the bigger cars/trucks. I believe 14 passenger vehicles and above do not have tax!

I have tax on my video but since my photog is from out of state they don't have to charge me tax which did save us like $550!! I think since they are providing you with an end product they can charge tax.

Re: is there...
i emailed my limo company to get some clarification on the limo tax and they said anything OVER 14 passengers CANNOT be taxed but the smaller vehicles that are 14 or less passengers do get tax
