is there a reason RDs are usually on thursdays?

How come most people seem to have their RDs on the thursday before their wedding, rather than on friday? (or is it just coincidence?)

I think it depends on the church... mine is actually on a Wednesday for a Saturday wedding

ohhhhh, that makes sense (i prob should've thought of that)

i'm getting married at the RH and my reception will prob be the day of the wedding (which works out nicely because 2 OOT BMs)

so i guess i can have it anytime

We're having ours on a Wednesday for a Friday wedding. I didn't want to be all hungover on the morning of the wedding!

I have actually never heard of not having a rehearsal the day before until I discovered this site. Mine is the Fri night before the wedding.

Mine will most likely be thurs cuz my wedding is on a fri. But if ur getting married at the RH, then it may be too busy (parties going on) to have a rehersal on a fri/sat night.

luckily my church is flexible. im having the rehearsal the sunday before.

i believe mine does it on thursdays & fridays but since my wedding is a saturday morning i really did not want it the night before. i think it varies by church.

Ours is on a Thursday because our church only has rehearsal's on Thursday.

I wanted it the Thursday before my wedding...I was so busy the night before my wedding getting ready for the next day. I wouldnt have had time to go to a RD the night before my wedding.

We had the option of Thursday or Friday, but we figured we'd rather be able to have a nice time at the RD on Thursday than have to worry about getting enough sleep, etc. on Friday night.

I'd rather have mine two days before. We're allowed to pick the day and I'm either going to Wed. or Thurs.

I had mine the friday night before the wedding (Wedding was Sat)

good point! mine is on Thurs night and our wedding is the very next day (Friday afternoon!)...Oh well, if thats bad luck I guess we are screwed!

I wish I could make mine on Thur b/f my wedding!!!! My priest insists on having the rehersal @ 8:00 pm the night b/f my wedding So we have to do the dinner b/f hand which is NOT the end of the world just REALLY annoying b/c I dont want to be rushed or stressed to get through the dinner!

We are doing ours the Thursday before because we will prob have so many last min things to do and also who wants to be up late the night before...
