is there a reason RDs are usually on thursdays?

How come most people seem to have their RDs on the thursday before their wedding, rather than on friday? (or is it just coincidence?)

i picked thursday because i didnt want ppl getting drunk and being hungover for the wedding lol

we're not doing an official rehearsal till the day of which is saturday.

but our 'rehearsal dinner' is thursday because i do not want to have to entertain and stuff the night before my wedding. i was to just relax and *hopefully* get some beauty rest!

I actually want to schedule mine for a week before the wedding. I don't want it to be anywhere close to the wedding day. Especially the day before, I want that day to be totally open so I can tie up and loose ends.
