Is there anything in the world that you want to do, that you could (or at least feel you could) only do if you were unattached?

Is there anything in the world that you want to do, that you could (or at least feel you could) only do if you were unattached?

meaning, is there something that you'd like to do in life, that has been taken off of the table b/c of other choices you've made?

I have 2...though SM may disagree.

1) I want to get my master's in International Relations. there is a fantastic program that Johns Hopkins runs out of D.C. and Bologna, Italy. I would want to go here if I was not with Leo.

2) I would love to do a stint in the Peace Corps.

I'm not joking when I say had I not met the DH/SM (?) I planned to leave the country for several months - like to an island, not talk to anyone from my 'real' wrold and create this whole alternate life for myself.

I desperately want to drive cross country but with one or two female friends.

I've done this with Leo. we drove from here to Cali and back. it was awesome...just the two of us.

I'd love to do it again.

About a year into our relationship, I almost broke up with DH to take an ornithological internship in Hawaii (one of those teeny tiny islands). I woudl have a totally different job someplace totally different.

I would probably also still be in school pursuing a phd. All the good programs are off LI though. Alas.....

Just before I met DH, I had no social life to speak of. I had approached my boss at the time about transferring to our Frankfurt Germany office or our Misawa Japan location.

I was set to do a mass training tour of all our asian and european offices but then I met DH and also found a new job at the same time. I never got to do that tour, and actually never left the country.

I'm really surprised no one yet has mentioned having a lesbian menage a trois yet.

Honestly I really did just about everything I wanted to before HPMIL. If one of us died & it wasn't me, I would move to Europe.

I honestly can't think of anything. My life hasn't been limited by being with Jimmy. I love singing but I have never fooled myself into believing it was something I would have as a career. The only thing that maybe I would do different is move out of Texas!!!
