Is there anything in the world that you want to do, that you could (or at least feel you could) only do if you were unattached?

Original post by JessicaM.

meaning, is there something that you'd like to do in life, that has been taken off of the table b/c of other choices you've made?

I have 2...though SM may disagree.

1) I want to get my master's in International Relations. there is a fantastic program that Johns Hopkins runs out of D.C. and Bologna, Italy. I would want to go here if I was not with Leo.

2) I would love to do a stint in the Peace Corps.

I honestly can't think of anything. My life hasn't been limited by being with Jimmy. I love singing but I have never fooled myself into believing it was something I would have as a career. The only thing that maybe I would do different is move out of Texas!!!

Crap. We forgot to have you serenade us with showtunes at the GTG.

Do you still have that mime outfit? Could Jimmy record a SuperKat Revue and you could post it on YouTube?

What if I said pretty-please-with-sugar-on-top?

Biggest.
Word.
Ever.

Seriously- I've got nothing.
I met MA (muffin @ss) in 99. We dated for 9 months and split up. I knew he was 'the one', s I went out and did everything ever. I moved to VT and taught snowboarding. I drove accross the country. I got my #s up. Then, when we got back together, it was because I wa sthis uber confident, life experience, happy lady. So I have nothing.
Queer.

I would definitely move to Europe (most likely Poland) and work for my company there making $$$ and living LARGE.

OR

Would have gone to Law School straight after college and became a successful attorney, living in one of the highrises in the CIty while dating freely...This is still possible with the exception of living in the City and dating freely...Mike would never want to live in the City nor let me date LOL...

that's awesome. we've broken up a few times...but never long enough to do stuff like that...just to research it LOL. perhaps a longer (or cleaner) breakup would have served me better...at least in the numbers game.

'Numbers' are key [for me].
They've contributed to my sanity.

I would have definiately loved to the cross country thing with some gal pals.

I would have also wanted to quit my job and move somewhere else and get a job thats not a career job. Like working in a florist shop or something.

I do not have the mime outfit anymore and my as$ wouldn't fit into it if I did. LOL

If you are ever in Dallas, come over to my house and we will play Karaoke Revolution. LOL

Or next time I am in NYC, we will have a GTG at the karaoke in NYC where I had my bachelorette party.

I agree. When I look back on my 'living single' days and nights, I do smile, but my heart jumps when I think about the first time I knew Jim was the one. WAHOO.

that's just it...I am not really talking about 'sacraficing' anything.

reality is, if I REALLY wanted to do it, Leo would support me 100000%. he always says, do what you want, and we'll figure out the rest.

when I told him I wanted to go back to school, he said 'so I guess I'll be supporting us then. that's cool.' that is NOT the case, but the thing is, if it was a dream or need of mine...he would make the sacrifice, as I would do for him...

but I couldn't ask him to carry that burden...and that is more of what I mean...it's not him that is 'stopping' me...but me...

Continued with ballroom dancing, but I know too many single older women who did that and now they are alone. Awesome dancers, but alone....

LOVE that picture.

I've only Karaoke'd drunk, so I have no idea how I sounded. Pretty bad, from what I'd guess.
