Is there anything youre doing with your wedding that is very different from the norm?

What is it?

Anthony & I are just so goofy and all into having fun. Were going to have the normal songs for the ceremony, but when his uncle pronounced us man and wife our DJ is going to blast..

'I feel good' by James Brown as we walk down the aise!! It is so totally us! I knwo our family & friends will love it and it will set the scene for our party!!

Absoluetly crazy?

I am also having my 3 year old son walk me down the aisle with my dad.

Were donating to the widows and childrens fund and not having favors

Were going to have a birthday cake because my sons birthday is a few days later.

Not doing garter or boquet toss
Giving the bouquet to my mom as a surprise. (She deserves it)

Im having my cousin sing barracuda at the reception just because I like it!!

Hmmm.. Ill keep thinking..

That is so cute. I totally wanted my cat to be the ringbearer like Jinxie in Meet the Parents. We are getting married near the beach though so I'm afraid she will be all freaked out and run away.

Ok....i was thinking of doing this as well, are you giving her your actual Boquet or making an extra?

i wanted our dog to walk down with th ering bearer but im getting married at the hall and i dont think they will let him in.

we had 8 bell ringers, who announced the beginnging of our ceremony.

we did an herbal toss, rather then roses, or bubbles, or anything like that. people wanted to smoke it, instead of throw it. It was greatly amusing!

I included herbs wherever possible, to give a very earthy sorta feel to the day. herbs on the menu's, herbs in the centerpieces, herbal toss...

we had mini-fields of daisy's as our main CP's. They were a HUGE hit.

my mom walked me down the aisle (not very different, but special for us!)

We are also having a cake b/c it's my Aunt's 60th birthday!

My 2 best friends (bridesmaids) are going to sing a song a capella at our ceremony while we are pouring the sand (sand ceremony).

The mother/son dance is going to start off slow like usual, then after 30 secs or so they are going to break out into meringue or salsa and everyone will join! Can't wait to see that! :)

-My Dad passed away several years ago so I had my Brother-in-Law walk me most of the way down the aisle. Then my Mother walked me the rest of the way. I wanted them to each have their own special part.

-We had our parents come up to the alter and join our priest for the final blessing. They stood with him and they all put their hands over our heads.

-We had everyone ring bells when we were pronounced 'Man and Wife'.

-We toasted with Irish Meade at the reception.
