As in, is there any detail of the wedding that you 'had to have' and now that its requiring some extra work, you dont feel like having it?
like i was dying for really nice programs but i just dont feel like making them
i was dying for the growing up photo montage, but i just dont feel like gathering t he pictures and paying the extra money for it
im getting really lazy
ETA- that was February..now that my wedding is over I did end up doing the photo montage- it was a hit and I am glad that i sifted through so many pics to get the right ones..it was hard and time consuming but i did it
i did NOT do programs but i did do menus- that was antoher thing I was on the fence about - but costco did them and they were super easy!

Lets see....have a very small, intimate wedding on an island or maybe Cape Cod on the beach. So much for what I really wanted but I couldn't bear the thought of some friends and family not being there because of the expense or children.

I think it's the other way around for me, I wanted to blow everything off and now I'm thinking that every little thing is so important!
But I never intended on doing individual menus, cry packs, slipper baskets, and the like, out of sheer laziness.
I'll still be doing programs, but my FSIL who is move savvy on the computer said she would help me.

I wanted to do fireworks or some other amazing light show, and I also thought it would be cool to have fabric draping down from the high ceilings of our hall. But, too expensive and unnecessary....would be nice though

I was going to do DIY invites, figuring it would save money, but now I think it'll just be a lot of work and probably won't save me that much

Chair covers - and I'm glad I didn't bother. Just another expense and no one cares anyway. ETA - anything to be thrown at us after the ceremony bathroom baskets (hall provided)
DITTO~ I changed my mind about chair covers also

We wanted to do the after party at our hall, but we can't justify spending the $$

I wanted to have really nice invitations, Butterfly release and a brunch the morning after the wedding.
Since FI and and I are paying or the whole thing, I decided to spend $$ on us (nice dress, great honeymoon) rather than on small details that no one (or maybe 1or 2 people) will care about.

Programs: I was going to have them made, but I am (right now) doing it myself. But, I am glad. I saved a lot of money and it matches all my other paper details.
Tossing Stuff: I didn't know what we were going to toss but I figured I'd be super creative about it. I got rose petals (that are gorgeous) but I just threw them into a basket rather than do petal cones. I decided I'd rather have people take a handful.
Menus: I was SOOOOO going to do ones to look like playbills or something. But after my mother stole that idea for my shower, I'm using what the FT provides (though, they are gorgeous!)
OOT Boxes: I was going to do super duper boxes but ended up getting cheap (but still chic!) bags that I will fill up with a few things. I'm adding a fun label to them (that of course matches) but I really thought I would have gone overboard.
I think that after going to like five - six weddings in the year that I've been engaged has put a lot of perspective into things. My philosophy has been, 'I'll do it if it'll look beautiful.' If it's a half-azzed job, I won't do it. And if it doesn't add significant value, I won't do it either.

I had a goal to lose 50lbs. With only 4 months left, I have reduced my goal to 20lbs. It is sad, but true.

I wanted a carpet or rug aisle runner. My dad is in the carpet business and I thought that would be a neat way to to commemorate that our lives revolve around carpet. But then I realized that I like the look of no runner at all and I liked the carpeting at my hall.
ETA--And my dad would have gone crazy if the runner was not put down right! He kept saying that my hall had good quality carpet. It was funny. He judges every place by its carpet!

Creative placecards - doing regular simple ones instead Creative table numbers - don't have time or patience Menus - why bother?
I hear that. I can't be bothered doing them. Maybe I will be struck with sudden inspiration in then next few weeks.

-I had wanted to give out crispy creme donuts at the end of the reception, but now it just seems like too much $$ _ had an idea to make our programs in the shape of a fan for the church..instead I just bought hand fans..(that one I chalk up to laziness) -thought about fireworks (because of it being July 3rd...but felt it was too circusy..
lets see...still have 145 days to scrap some things.. I'll get back to you!

The one and only 'must have' for my wedding, is the one thing I can't afford - a horse & carriage to take me from my house to the ceremony site. I'm hoping and praying my tax return is enough to be able to splurge on this.
Otherwise, my wedding will have everything I wanted at the beginning, and a few inexpensive extras (like programs - DIY).

Originally, we talked about getting married on the island of St. John - loved it there...but the reality of very close family members not being able to go squashed that idea - some things are more important. But we got our second pick!
We had thought about doing DIY invites...but my FH talked me out of it - he knows how I get with my projects - there's just never enough time - he'd rather have a sane bride and have us spend a little more money - he's so great!
We're doing pretty much everything else we planned on - menus, placecards, programs, table numbers, etc....no slippers, bubbles, crypacks, etc....seemed like overkill to me...but lots of people would say the same about some of the stuff we're doing. It's all fun...and you only do it once...do it the way you want...
