Is there aynthing that you really wanted to do for your wedding when you first got engaged and now you are blowing it off?

As in, is there any detail of the wedding that you 'had to have' and now that its requiring some extra work, you dont feel like having it?
like i was dying for really nice programs but i just dont feel like making them
i was dying for the growing up photo montage, but i just dont feel like gathering t he pictures and paying the extra money for it
im getting really lazy
ETA- that was February..now that my wedding is over I did end up doing the photo montage- it was a hit and I am glad that i sifted through so many pics to get the right ones..it was hard and time consuming but i did it
i did NOT do programs but i did do menus- that was antoher thing I was on the fence about - but costco did them and they were super easy!

I was dying for pocketfold invites but with the shortage on money and time (so I couldnt make them)..we compromised on the simple invites.

Um....pretty much every single DIY project I thought about doing. I planned on being all crafty and then became the laziest person ever.
You name it, I blew it off...Card box, DIY STDs, DIY invitations, bathroom baskets, cake topper, petal cones...
I will be the anti-DIY-bride when all is said and done...

Where do I start???
First we wanted to elope to Mexico but FMIL shot that down before we even got engaged.
Second we wanted to get married on Fire Island but again FMIL shot that down too (plus $ helped - who would have thought September is now the new June??)
Third, I wanted to have some non-traditional readings at the actual ceremony, but our church is saying No because it's not part of the religious ceremony.
Next, I had always hoped that we could write/say something personal while we are marrying that would allow us to share some of our own thoughts, but again church says No.
Also, thought my dad and I would have made amends by now and could have had him walk me down the aisle, but Nope....in fact the situation has actually worsened and he won't even be coming to the wedding now.

I wanted to do lottery tickets in kissing bell placecard holders, but decided to cut down on that expense. (may put a kissing bell or two at each table)
Also was considering getting a cigar roller, but may just have a box of cigars out at the bar for those that smoke cigars. (or at least at the table where my work guys sit who smoke them)
Originally wanted a band, but cut down on that expense, and got a classy DJ.
Also was going to do cameras on each table, but will now have a sign as part of my information packet with my e-mail address asking guests to e-mail me their digital pictures.
Wow! look how much money I'm saving!! lol

I wanted Calla Lillies and Star Gazers everywhere, but it was too expensive. I went with roses instead which I also love and were a lot less money.

Lets see....have a very small, intimate wedding on an island or maybe Cape Cod on the beach. So much for what I really wanted but I couldn't bear the thought of some friends and family not being there because of the expense or children.
