is there something else besides cones that i can

put the rose petals in? im having sort of a fall themed wedding..and im doing fall color rose petals..i wanted something different to put the petals in because i dont really feel like making the cones...can i buy them? or is there something else i can use?thanks!

i am using doiles but you still need to make them...

how about tin cans- they are small, you usually out candy in them, but you could put the petals- they look like watering cans, and are fallish!

I used doiles too. You do have to make them but it really didnt take too long.

To keep with the fall theme, why not put them in velvet pouches, in a burgundy color or similar color? You can get them cheap at www.papermart.com. Just search for 'velvet bag' and a whole bunch will come up. There is also satin and organza.

You can also put the petals in mini baskets that you find in Michael's. I wanted to be different as well and not use the paper cones. So, I found the mini baskets and organza bags, too as other options for the rose petals.

I'm doing cones, but someone else gave me the idea to just put them in a large basket and have someone walk around to all the guests outside the church. Each guest will grab a handful to toss. This seems to be the most cost effective and least time consuming way.
