The photographer whose work we like the best has quoted us $6500 for photography (2 photographers for 10 hours and a lighting assistant), a 50 photo album, 2 smaller parents albums (I think they were 24 photos) and a video (and 3 copies of DVD). We also get an engagement shoot and a first baby shoot, hard copy proofs and website proofs. I don't have the paperwork in front of me, but I think we also get some wallets and a big photo too.
Any opinions?

Its not a bad price. If you love them....then go for it! Also, whats a first baby shoot? Is this a stupid question and it's exactly what it sounds like?

It all depends one who you are using but sound just about right. Do they really need a lighting assistant?

Sounds just about right. Im 2/14/09 & I was quoted $5700.00 pretty much have the same things. But i get 72 photos 2 8/10 parent albums an 16x24 photo 125 Thank yous 10 8x10 10 5x7 video 3dvds & Unedited version. All proofs. So i think your close.

That sounds a little pricy even though you are getting 2 photographers. We are paying $7000 for photo and video (we only have 1 photog) but we did book with Sherwood Triart who are known to be more expensive. I got $6500 quote for photo and video and the photo package was similar to yours from Patken. So I think the price is a little much but if you like the photographer and their work, go for it!

I paid $3999 plus tax for this : 2 photogs (1 traditional 1 photojournalist for 10 hour day) 10 x 10 album for us prints and cd of pics 1 videographer 10 hour day 3 dvds and all raw material
Youshould be able to get that all for a bit less since you are in the off season like me
