I got my first DJ quote during my lunch today, and I reeealy think that it's too much....AND it's with 200 off their normal 'supposidly' since I know one of their good good customers... $1750! OUCH! And, that's just for the DJ and MC. Any one have any other suggestions where it won't be a major burden on me..? That's just waaay out of my budget. If it's a good price then I'll HAVE to make it work, but I'd rather not since we're paying for MOST of the wedding ourselves. Please help! TIA

i think its a decent quote....we've been pricing djs with the works and gettin almost double that. but ive noticed basic packages start around 1700-2000

try FM Entertainment..I have heard great things about them....they have a package for $1095 inlcuding dj and mc...

Tommy Tunes quoted me 1500-1800 for mc, dj, percussionist, singer and saxaphone and steel drums for CH i thought that was reasonable
FM entertainment was about the same for everything. I have thier full set price list if theres something specific you want. mc and dj only was 1095 mc only was 750. i also have thier full set muscian list. FM me for more info

Wow I think thats high. When I was checking out dj's...just for a dj & mc, it was all around $1 - $1,300.
Get in Tune in Ronkonkoma had the best price I saw. I hear great things about FM Entertainment as well.

it seems a lot for just a dj/mc. try FM Entertainment, they are good and the prices are even better.

Just out of curiosity what is the deal with the percussionists? The dj I am booking keeps trying to sell me on it but I just dont get what they do or their purpose? I mean I know they play along with the music but doesnt it get distracting from the actual songs? I have never actually seen it done so I have no idea... has anyone seen it and if so what were your thoughts on it because I am totally clueless... Thanks in advance!!!

We paid $1700- with 'In the mix' Dj /Mc & all the goodies they give out. a Hobo on the dance floor reads 'congratulations' and all the lighting like the clubs have.
