How much did you have to put down as a deposit for your photgrapher? I really liked silverfox, but they want 1/3 as a deposit which would be over $2,000. That seems like an awful lot of money to me, and I am hesitating about going with them because of this. The hall didn't want nearly that much and thats going to be A LOT more money. Opinions or feedback anyone?

I left 500 for photo/500 video.
It would of only be 800 total but, it depends on how much your photography package is.

It seems like a lot..I know I wouldn't have that kind of money to put down for a deposit on one vendor!

Im pretty sure thats the % I put down too but I could be wrong.
Either way, if you are concerned you might want to express that to the vendor. They will probably be willing to take something you feel more comfortable with as a deposit.

we left $500 for photo/video. imo, 2k is a lot if $$ for a deposit, but i guess it depends on the total cost of the vendor

Our photographer only asked for a $500 deposit, but our videographer wanted a 50% deposit. Everyone has their own rules I think.
