this may be a stupid question... but do you think its important to get your ring appraised and insured? some of my friends are married for several yrs now and havent done it... yet my sister thinks its horrible that ive havent done it ? ive asked a couple of people and mixed feelings about it.. is it a personal choice or a must do?

DEF..... I got it appraised the weekend after I got it and I got it insured within the month!!

I think it depends on the person. For me, its a must do because I know if something happens to my ring or I lose it, I am not getting another one (FH's words....lol).

yes def do it. god forbid you lose it or break it then you are out a buttload of money!! I felt so uncomfortable in the week or 2 that i wore it before it was insured.

Mine was appraised and insured before it was even on my finger! It is a must (IMHO) - God forbid something should happen to it.

For us it was a must because it's an heirloom (it was his grandma's e-ring and wedding band).

I got it appraised and insured, same for my wedding band. I personally think it's super important. I used Jeweler's Mutual online for insuring it, and Gennaro Jeweler's in Bellmore for the sizing, appraisal, etc.

yes you can...it depnds on how much your ring is appraised for and if you want a deductible or not...its not that expensive though...or at least i did not think so...HTH xo

yes you can...it depnds on how much your ring is appraised for and if you want a deductible or not...its not that expensive though...or at least i did not think so...HTH xo
mine is under my moms homeowners insurance..its a little under $200 a year....i think its worth it for peace of mind.

It's up to you. Ours was appraised and insured and then we took it off of our insurance.

i havent done it, and i really need to..i just think considering how much the rings are worth if god forbid something happened to them it would be nice to know that they are covered

i think you should def. get it done. god forbid something happens to it, at least you will have insurance, plus you want to get it appraised to make sure you got the right price for it.

FH had it appraised and insured before he gave it to me...for us it was a must...god forbid somthing happens we would have been out a lot of money!!!
