So, I got a phone call from a company called '21st Century Today's Bride' saying that I won some stuff... and that I just have to go tomorrow to this thing where they display some merchandise and I fill out a survey, and then they give me the stuff, no obligation.
Has anybody heard anything about this company? Are they legit? Should I go? It's some pretty decent prizes, including a 3 day hotel stay...

My friend & I got these calls after we went to a bridal show a while back. I never called back but I think she said they had to sit through a few hours of some sales pitch...I don't remember what they ended up getting...if anything.

I won three times! It's a game. They promise you china or pots and pans as long as you go and hear their speal for a few hours! Then you get the pots and pans at some sort of regular price.

TOTAL SCAM. I feel for it and went. They made us sit thru some long 1 1/2 hr sales pitch then tried to sell pots and pans for over $1500. When we didnt buy anything the guy gave me such an attitude. They do give a free hotel stay but with MANY catches. It says a hotel 'like' the marriott and there are only a few you can pick from. I have also 'won' about 4 other times since. Here is a link from consumer affairs about them.
I dont think the above link is working but if you go to www.consumeraffairs.com and search them you will see all their horrible review.

I got a call today also!!!! The woman told me that we have to sit through like 90 minutes of some seminar and then we can purchase the pots, pans china and whatever else they have at a 40% discount.....then we get a 3 night 2 day vacation....hotel stays or something and a $500.00 gift certificate to some online store......Im not going because my dad always says nothing is free.

I've won that contest like 2 or 3 times, and I heard the same thing about the 90 minute sales pitch and then they try to sell you expensive pots and pans. I never went, either because so many people said it was a scam. Don't do it!

This sounds like a scam, but Bed, Bath, and Beyond invited us to this breakfast thing one morning and they gave us bagels, juice, and av $20 frying pan and all we had to do was register for some more stuff.

I've won 3 times....I never call them back to see what I'm supposed to do.......too risky and I don't have the time to listen to someone yap about their products.
