Is this a weird favor??
Ok, so, I'm a gamer. Like, D & D and all that stuff. I haven't played in a while, but I like dice games and card games and stuff like that. FH was a magician. He knows card tricks. We play cards and dice games, he does bar tricks when we go out, you know.... Here's the favor idea:
We have these little different colored dice, and a deck of nice playing cards (not cheap unlaminated paper ones - casino quality if we can afford it), and a DIY booklet of dice and card games that we like. It will have a little poem about staying in and spending time together as the weather gets cold (October wedding).
I showed my mom the dice - the look on her face was dubious at best. Since the price of honey is going to go through the roof the honey/tea thing is out, and the candy apples were $$$, not to mention time consuming. Plus, we didn't want to give people more food. We're going this way anyway, since we bought the dice, but I'm just looking for validation I suppose.
