I think it's great too. FH is a big U2 fan and I proposed having the beginning (instrumental) of the streets have no name for the bridal party and then the chorus of beautiful day for us.

this is probably my all time favorite song. both fh and I are U2 fanatics (we are nuts bout them really so fan just dones't seem appropriate)

we however opted NOT to dance to this song as the first dance b/c it is a little more difficult to dance to, but if you want it, go for it. I would just practice a few times, have the dj stop it before the guitar ending, and before Bono starts screaming

I think it's great but the radio EDIT version. I've been a U2 fan since 1981 and I know their music like my own hand... probably better.

The album version is really long and there is this weird kinda crazy violin thing going on towards the end that is a bit jarring.

If you can't find the radio edit version just have the DJ fade it out.

my fav version is the Slane Castle, when he dedicates the song

'to my wife...to my BEAUTIFUL wife, Ali' (cut before his wifes name)

if we were to use this song, this would be the only version I would want.

That's exactly what we're doing!

Thank you!! I'm going to tell him this or show him! He has it in his head that the intro music should have no words because then the DJ will be yelling over the song.

I said, honey, the DJ does have a volume dial on the music you know.

Not to mention, he's been doing this his whole life!!
