If you invited a 'vendor' to your wedding, for example your personal trainer or your massage therapist or your hair stylist, would it be appropriate for them to give you a wedding gift of their services? Such as a gift certificate for their services... like personal training sessions or a couple massage session...

I think so - if you are using them and paying them anyway, and they are going to give you their time and services for free, I think that would be awesome....
I used to be a ballroom dancer, and for my bday and xmas my dance teacher would give me a free private lesson - that was almost 100 bucks an hour - that was an hour he could have been paid by someone else - I think its a great gift!!!

Not a all. It is a gift. It is not like they are 're'gifting. Their are offering their service for free. That's $$$$ they are not going to make when you use the gift certificate.

unless I knew this vendor personally, I wouldn't invite him/her.
if lets say your personal trainer is a good friend, then they're a guest and yes, they should give you a wedding gift.

Unless the person is having money trouble, I really don't think it's an appropriate gift.
I used to work in a hair salon. The hair dressers used to say 'I would never charge my friend for anything'.
But, the clients always thought they were 'friends' with their hairdresser. They weren't. They were clients. People who work in that kind of industry make more money by making clients think that they are more than 'just a client'.
But, believe me, hair dressers know who their friends are- and clients are not friends.
