fh and i are ordering are invites we decided to go with something a lil plain with double hearts at the top. there very inexpensive, we figured we would cut our corner on the invite since most people throw them out. is this a bad idea.? i appreciate your honest opinions. before we order.

IMO, not at all....in fact, I think that's the one thing you could kinda cheap out on....like you said, they get thrown out!

Re: is this bad,
I think that many brides go this route. FH and I have decided to cut corners on the invitations too, for the same reasons you already stated. IMO, there are so many other things you can spend the extra money on that will leave a much more lasting impression. Go for it!!!!

it's an ivitation............a piece of cardstock. No one will shun you for having the due dilligence to put money in other places and save where it doesn't matter.

Re: is this bad,
I think I've seen similar invitations--and if they are what I'm thinking of, they're very nice. I've been considering something similar. I think that you should pay whatever you are comfortable with for all of your wedding stuff.
I also think that no one knows how much invitations cost. I look at some and can't believe they are so inexpensive while others that don't seem too special are $$.
Unless you have priced out invitations, you don't know how much they cost.

Re: is this bad,
nope, it's brilliant. after all the work we put into ours, the fact that they are gonna be thrown out makes me sick. if i were to do it over again I'd buy the cheapest (yet still nice) ones i could find.
