Is this being a bridezilla??

Is this being a bridezilla??

So, I figured out that I would like all my bridesmaids, including MOH's to wear their hair to the side curled with a rose in their hair AND silver shoes.
My sister said that it may be asking too much from people. Ummmm, I don't see the big deal at all.
Depending on the cost, I may even pay for their hair (depending on cost).

Also, I have a huge pet-peeve regarding inconsistency. Meaning, I want everyone to look the same across the board. I just don't want my wedding pics containing different looks, etc..

I have heard of that it's your weddign so whatever you want goes! I am having all the dresses the same and got them the same DOJ necklace and earrings and I was them to all look the same too but not having them to the hair the same..so I guess that makes me a zilla if you are! lol but I don't think you are.

Thanks Ladies. I told my sister- it's too bad, it's what I want!! LOL. Maybe the reply was zillaicious, but it's not like I'm telling them to shave their heads. lol.

I really think it'll look so hot with their hair to one side and a rose in it. My centerpieces are all roses and my colors are red/wine and gold. The groomsmen are wearing a red rose so it'll look so awesome!!

I don't think you are being bridezilla.

I am currently in a wedding and she is giving us shoe choices.

I personally am going to make the girls wear the same shoe, but I am not so much worried about the hair.

I think it's pretty traditional to tell the BMs what shoes to wear and even how to do their hair. I think it's becoming less common to instruct on hair, but it's not unheard of or bridezilla like at all!

Re: Is this being a bridezilla??

Lol...You are such a nice bride- letting your ladies do what they want. I was thinking maybe they should do their make-up a certain way, but I did think that crossed the line. You see, I'm nice. Actually, this is bad- I'm planning on giving them a nice white gold necklace, which must be worn on my wedding as a gift. Lol. Hence, the consistency!! lol. I.am.going.to.hellll!!! lol.

NW crashing...I don't think it's bridezilla-ish but if I were a BM, I would not be happy about the hair at all. I don't look good at all in a side ponytail and I would feel like an idiot and I think the pictures would reflect my unhappiness. I think asking the girls to put their hair up and incorporating a flower into it might be nice, but asking for them to all look like carbon copies of each other might be a bit much. Just my honest opinion though...

ITA. I'd say tell them that the flower needs to be in it but let them wear their hair how they wish. What if one of them wants to get a haircut? Are they not allowed? Not all girls look good with the same hairstyles and to me it was more important for them to be comfortable and feel beautiful that day. I also don't like the look of everythng exactly the same. I had the same dresses and jewelry but their hair was different and so was their makeup. I'm not a fan of the complete cookie cutter look. I don't think it's bridezilla but I don't think it;s the best idea. Sorry!

Exactly, it's not a bridezilla but its true not everyone looks good with certain hairstyles. Im making all my girls get their hair done but they can do it however they want. As far as shoes - since my girls are going wear long dresses Im just going to say 'silver open toe shoes.' I think if they had short dresses though I'd make them all get the same shoe.

FYI..I was just in a wedding where the bride wanted all of us 7 bridesmaids to wear our hair the same..it ironically was a side ponytail...the hair came out great and we all had different hair dressers...but to me it looked a little too matchy matchy...when looking at all of the photos.. we all looked exactly the same and it was almost humorous.

I totally agree with this. I don't think it's out of the question to ask them have their hair in similar styles though!

I don't think it's asking too much BUT that doesn't mean people won't complain about it. If you pay for it though I don't think people have a right to *****!

Ummmm then I am a Bridezilla too! I actually am going for the same look. I initially was totally set on the flower, but not as sure now. Either way though, I want them to all to wear their hair in a similar updo. I showed them pictures and they all seem to like it. I absolutely LOVE the idea I have going in my head. Oh and I was tossing around the idea of the same shoe and saying oh maybe I will just tell them the color and they could pick the shoe, but one of my BMs was like 'just pick it out so its not more headache for you.' One of my favorites I say do what you want. It is your wedding and I'm sure everything will look BEAUTIFUL! When it it their time to be the bride, they get to boss you around.

ITA. Paying for the hair would be a nice gesture if you want them to wear it exactly a certain way.

Considering the fact that I have the exact same demands, NO not a zilla at all lol! My girls will have a flower in their hair and side ponies as well lol.I think ppl saying they don't like how they look is ridiculous. I would wear a baseball hat if I was told too. Its not about me, its not my day, who cares if I look good. I don't care about the shoe style just the color.. None of my girls have short hair, none of them can look bad no matter what. All of my girls are ok with it. They like it actually.. But I have ocd and I need it to be uniform! I want an army lol! I'm kidding but serious!

Re: Is this being a bridezilla??

I am asking all the girls to wear their hair up- I don't mind if they wear it up differently from each other but just all up. As long as they don't wear it the same as me I don't care what the up do is! And I am planning on buying them DOJ as well so it matches. But as far as shoes I am allowing them to wear any shoes as long as they are dyed to match the dress. All my girls are different heights and some ALWAYS wear heels and some never do. I wanted to make sure they were all comfortable that day. But, that being said, I have long dresses- if I had short dresses I would want them in the same shoes.

Long story short- if asking them to do certain things to your liking makes you a bridezilla then I guess I am one too.
