My FMIL was talking to me about dresses and said she was thinking of getting a rose color. Well, I may do that for my girls, so I told her I wasn't sure. Then she suggested beige and I said no cause it could be too close to white. But then I was talking to my aunt (my cousin is also getting married) and she said no one is telling her what color to wear. Am I crossing the line? I thought the bride has some say in what the moms wear, no?

I could understand why you wouldn't want her wearing the same color as the BM's but I think beige would be ok. You two might have two different colors in mind (like what you consider beige and what she considers beige)
Yeah I agree. Beiges are different. But she seemes annoyed to my aunt that I wanted to choose the color. All day Sunday I was called a Bridezilla cause of this lol.
I told my mother she can wear pink or brown, she wants to match the bm's. I'm going to tell my FMIL the same thing if she ever asks about the wedding which she has yet to do.
I WISH my fmil wouldn't ask about the wedding!!!
I wish I could just plan it with no questions.. no involvement.. b/c none of it is positive..

Re: Is this Bridezilla-ish?
My mom wore a beige suit to my brothers wedding and it honestly didnt look a THING like a bridal dress, so I dont think there would be in issue there. Its not like shes going to wear floor lenght tulle. I hope.

Re: Is this Bridezilla-ish?
I told my mother in law what colours we were picking. Then she showed me what colour she was thinking of for her dress and that was that.
Its not the act that would make it bridezillaish, its the way it is done.
However I realise your aunt said she would not be told what colour to wear for her daughters wedding, Thats pretty Selfish. I would not judge your act based on her statement
