Ok so we need to save money where we can so we are probably having our engagement party in our backyard. We were thinking of doing a Luau themed party. We went to one a couple years back and it was a good time. Do you girls think its a cheesy idea?

I think that is really cute! I also had my engagement party in my yard. It was great because it was informal and a way for everyone to just let loose and celebrate.

That sounds like a lot of fun! FH and I had our engagement party in his backyard and we had a great time. It didn't have a theme but hearing about yours now would have made ours even more fun. I say go for it!

FH and I both have families that LOOOOVe to BBQ, so we are just gunna have a BBQ in the backyard. Nothing overly fancy. Very nice and relaxed for everyone to get to know each other. I think its a great idea!

Thats a GREAT idea and it is something that people will remember - different from the 'norm.' remember who cares what others think - do what makes you happy!
