is this color too dark for august?

we're having a 2pm ceremony, 7pm reception.

Are you doing any other colors with it or eggplant by itself? By itself it might be dark for August, but with a lighter accent color it might be fine.

that's a gorgeous color. if you maybe add a white accent here or there, it think it'll work out perfectly!

i'm doing black in june... no one is going to look at the colors and ask what month it is, just pick what you like and what looks good

i love that color. definitly not too dark. but accent it with brighter colors.

I think that color would look beautiful with some light colored accents.

thats the exact color im using. im october. but when i first saw it, besides saying OMG THIS COLOR IS BEAUTIFUL!! i said, this color could be used year round!! its gorgeous! i love it for an evening summer wedding!

I think thats the same color I'm using, or similar... mine is Jim Hjelm luminescent chiffon Plum. My wedding is in July and yes I was afraid it will be too dark but overall I wanted an elegant look and none of the other colors seemed to do it for me. Mine is night time too... I think with some light flowers it will look great!!

Thanks, needed to hear that! It is Jim Hjelm Plum. The more I'm looking at it the more I love it. It is also right below te knee, which will make it more summery. We were always doing all ivory flowers, so the girls will have all ivory callas, which will pop I think. Have mostly black and ivory accents otherwise.

I Think the color is fine for August. The color should compliment the over all feel of your wedding not the month. I love that color it is very elegant.

if you accent it with lighter colors, maybe some whites and yellows i think itll look nice
