LOVE it. I think it would go well all year round. It's a rich, elegant color.

No. You can use whatever color you like remember its your wedding. MY cousin is using a dark purple for her aug wedding.

I am anti 'you have to have certain colors for certain seasons'. Yes this is true when talking about flowers because certain flowers are only available in certain months so yours choices are limited to the colors available, but as far as dress go, you should pick whatever color you are happy with. I was a BM in a June wedding, on the beach, and we wore Black dresses. I'm also planning on having my girls wear black as well.
Like the other girls said, maybe use some gbrighter accent colors, but as far as the color of the dress itself, I'd say go for it. It's a beautiful color.

Personally I think you can do whatever color you want whenever you want to do it. And I think that color is BEAUTIFUL.

im doing eggplant as well for my august wedding. i love the color and LOVE LOVE that dress!!!
IMO- i dont think it matters much on color and season really. if you like the color, go for it.

I am having the same color as well.
Eggplant/plum is becoming the new black. You can do a lot with it especially with some pretty light flowers go for it!!!
