very long...ok, so we are considering taking our honeymoon this march, though we are getting married in july...is this crazy? the thing is, i am applying to grad schools in NC and they all start in aug. so we will move out the end of july so we can move in a new apartment in NC aug 1. well, my fi is going to still work for his boss here bc his absolutely loves my fi and is willing to either have him work from our home in NC or expand business into NC and have my fi manage that (he manages his business here now). his boss doesn't allow people to take vacations in the summer bc its their busy time or something. so my fi says we shouldn't push it by taking our honeymoon right after our wedding bc his boss is doing a lot for us by keeping him with the company. plus, we are moving out of state which means we will need time to do that as well. so i understand his position. also i have vacation time that i need to use or lose in 3 months, and so does my fi. so we were thinking of maybe taking our 'honeymoon' during my springbreak this semester in march. does this make sense? we can then take a vacay without worrying about hurricanes and at least it will be a paid vacation from work. i would say we could hold off the honeymoon till we have time after the wedding, but if he is starting a business there, taking time off will be hard. plus grad school will be intense and its all year round so i don't know when i woul dbe able to go either. i don't know, what do you think? ~lacey

Lacey, I think you should do what makes you and FH Happy. That is what matters most. If it works out best for you two to go in March, then do it.

First of all ...
if its a more sensibe option take the HM at that time
i mean its silly to get worked up over these 'rules' take the ones you want and leave the rest. im learning that fast! lol
it seems like you already know the answer to your question - it will be a nice break to go away before the wedding! have your 'honeymoon' whenever you want!
best of luck

Go in March.... hey as long as your with your FI, What's the difference if it's now or later!!! You'll have a romantic time either way!! JMO Where do you want to go???

Go in March. I have a friend who moved x-country with her then FH, bought a house, then got engaged, then took a honeymoon, then got married. The heck with convention. You have vacation time, he has vacation time, and his boss will appreciate that you both recognize what he is doing for you by going in March rather than some other time.

Personally, I'm not really a fan of taking the 'early' HM. BUT in this case it DOES seem to make the most sense for the both of you. No need to have even more piled onto your plate in July. Go in March and have a great, relaxing time. Enjoy yourselves!!!!!!

I say go in March.. It works the best for both of you and what's wrong with being a little unconventional. Plus if you find time in ayear or so than you can go on a second HM, whats better than 1 HM, 2 !! Happy Planning

I am not a fan of the early honeymoon either but you have to do what is best for you. It seems more sensible to go in March. This will make you more relaxed and you with have a much better time knowing that! Go for it!

I would wait until after the honeymoon. You can go sometime in September or October which are nice months.
