You are paying the photographer so why not. Why shold he waste film on someone you dont want pics of?!?!

Ummmm when FH's sister got married I was not asked to be in any of the family photo's.....they are FAMILY photographs and at the time I was just FH's girlfriend......the only pictures I am in are candid pictures where we are dancing and stuff...I dont think there is any reason for this person to be in photos at all - she isnt family yet - a girlfriend of two years shouldnt be in pictures IMO....i dont think its rude of you at all.....i think its rude for this girl to assume she is going to be in pictures!! Unless of course, you asked her to be in your BP or something like that.....

She already said something to my mom that she's excited about the 'family portrait' and that she'd like a copy so I guess she thinks she will be included! I don't feel like it is appropriate at all since they are dating-- not engaged-- and she's not in the bridal party-- although she did ask to be in it. Sure, candid shots are fine, but she's a huge picture whore so there has to be some boundaries.

that is so weird to me. at my FH's sisters' wedding I didnt even want to be in any pictures.... i actually thought to myself - wow if this guy breaks up with me then his sisters pictures would be ruined! i did not expect to be in any pictures and i did not want to be in any pictures. i didnt think it was rude of his family at all.....its just pictures are for the family and that is something that i totally expected and was okay with......sounds like this girl already thinks she is part of your family though i think the photographer will be discreet about it anyway - like other girls said, this HAS to happen alot ......when are you taking your pictures?? since she isnt in the BP (im assuming that your brother is) than maybe she wont be around during some of the portrait type shots?? i remember FH leaving me for awhile to do pictures while I was in the cocktail hour mingling....he also was in the limos on the way to the church and then to the RH while i went bak to the hotel to get ready on my own while he was with the wedding party.....

I've been a guest to MANY weddings with my ex's and not once did I ever think that I should be included in family pics and I would just go to the bar when they were tkaing them lol I never wanted to be in them because thats not my family!Like you said, what if we split up and I'm hanging on his mom's or aunts wall somewhere and always be 'so and so's ex-gf that got in the pic' But she really does think she's already a party of our family and my bro isn't even that into her. Hopefully he'll come his senses and get rid of her lol
We're doing pics before the ceremony at the RH, so I'm sure she'll be around, but I'll discuss it with the photographer and let him know the situation. I'm sure he'll be able to handle this professionally and if she persists, my MOH already told me that if she tries to get into the shots, she'll pull her aside tell her nicely that its not appropriate.

I feel like it is your day and you need to do what you want! It may upset your brother but...it is your wedding album and you will ultimately be the one who looks at it for a long time to come...it def is a touchy situation

It really is touchy and uncomfortable. My bro's feelings are more important to me than hers, but I'm willing to take a chance that he might be pissed. But knowing him, he won't even notice whats going on lol
