is this day almost over

its been a crazy day.

let me start with where i work so you can understand my craziness. The building is on broad street. 3 blicks from where the WTC once stood. on 9/11 i worked on wall street which is across the street. I was suppose to be going to 3 WFC but was running late. I would have been in the plaza during the crash.

So all day we've been hearing fire alarms but no warnings of testing the system. about 5 minutes ago our lights flicker and the alarms start going.

an announcement comes on saying this is the fire command center, please stay where you are, there is no need to panic. this is a false alarm.

yea well my butt doesnt do false alarm. and my butt doest do sit tight. i am ready to leave.

everyone in my office is like hey did that fax go out, did the mail come, and i am like grab your coats and bags and leave the building.

is this day almost over????

i just had a 60 year old man run past my desk carrying a newspaper heading to the bathroom and breathing like he was about to go into labor.

deep breaths he was taking...

so i am guessing his laxative must have kicked in.

Ok, here's a really funny story to keep you going, reminicent of your old man running to the bathroom.

At my old job, there was a man, about 66 years old. His name was Dan. Every morning at 9:45, he would go to the bathroom. My FH and I used to work together (it's where we met). One morning, FH went to the bathroom the same time as Dan, and came back nearly collapsing in laughter.

Dan was in the bathroom doing his business. All the while, making very strange noises..grunting and whatnot...reading his paper and grunting. Finally, FH, in the stall next to him hears PLOP...and then Dan yells 'TAKE THAT!'....as if yelling at the toilet bowl.

FH still hasn't recovered from that incident, and I don't think I recovered from the laughter that ensued when he told us what happened.

OMG mistyeyed. as i was reading your post the old man walked pass my desk all nice and relaxed, with a light stride in his walk. he looked like he had a huge weight lifted off his shoulders.

i was laughing so hard i was choking.

on a closing note: that old man has walked past my desk 3 more times afterwards rushing to the bathroom.

i am guessing someone is having serious stomach problems today.
